What is Fecundation?

Fecundation is defined as the creation by the physical union of male and female gametes; of sperm and ova in an animal or pollen and ovule in a plant. Super-fecundation is the fertilization of two or more ova from the same cycle by sperm from separate acts of sexual intercourse, which can lead to twin babies from two separate biological fathers.
