In 1974 he studied at the London School of Economics and Political Science, University of London. In 1980 he moved to Australia and in 1981 he opened his first practice in Roverstone, Outer Western Sydney. In 1992 Dr. Lonsdale immersed himself in the research and writing on diet-induced ill health of pets, the veterinary clinics being run part-time and staffed by various young associates. His first book, “Raw Meaty Bones: Promote Health” was published in late 2001, and is one of the most influential books on canine nutrition ever written. In 2005 he published “Work Wonders: Feed Your Dog Raw Meaty Bones“, providing essential information for dogs and their owners, veterinarians, educators and anyone interested in dogs, diets and health. He is a member of the British Veterinary Association, Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons and Whistleblowers Australia.
